The last flight

Before the flight me and my friend had to get into the heavy gear and test our gear works properly. Once we were ready to take off we had a sudden reality check. We are actually going in this plane to jump out of it in the next few minutes. This shock was quite hard to cope with and i can’t remember what my friend had said to me but some how he gave me the courage for this amazing thrill ride. the pilot gave us the green light to risk everything, and jump. We stood at the open door looking down and i got that huge rush of adrenaline before i was forced out. I enjoyed the thrill of falling towards the ground at such great speeds with the air streaming past my face. for what seemed like a long time was only a few short minutes and the instructor with us told me that it was time to release the parachute. Suddenly once again a huge shock struck me, literally in the back that my parachute had failed. For a while i was to focused on fear that i had lost some precious seconds in trying to deploy the second shoot. i was very low and still sinking fast until the second shoot actually did open and my blood sunk to my feet as the parachute filled with air. This was a brush with death that i would never forget.
